Arrive at Calgary Airport by noon on Day 1. Transfer time is around 1.5 hours from the airport terminal to a hotel in Canmore, which serves as homebase before heading off into the mountains. 


When your trip ends on Day 4, there is a road transfer of approx 1.5 hrs to drive from Banff NP to Calgary Airport, leaving around midday. We recommend choosing a flight departing late afternoon/early evening on this day, as sometimes there can be traffic delays heading back to the city.


Itinerary activities

  • Guided hike from Moraine Lake over Sentinel Pass (Banff NP)
  • Shuttle to and fro from Moraine Lake

Accommodations: 3 nights in a comfortable group accommodation in Canmore


Food

  • Breakfast on Sep 12th, 13th, and 14th

Transfers

  • Airport transfer from Calgary Airport to the hotel in Canmore, where your trip begins

Our trips are hassle-free by design. We include all the activities ,Stay and all of the meals, so you can simply rock up with your rucksack and share the adventure with your new pals.


  • Our trips do not include flights, trains or other travel to the start point and back from the end point.
  • Tips are not included in the trip cost. To help you budget, we'd recommend around $5-10 (CAD) per day for your driver/guide.
  • Personal Expenses of any kind.
  • Travel insurance is compulsory for all of our adventures, and you'll need to provide your policy details before departure. We can recommend companies. The cost is reasonable but the peace of mind is priceless.
  • Visa requirements often change, and you are responsible for obtaining any required visas for this trip.


What do I need to bring?

  • Day pack (25-30 liter)

  • Warm fleece or down jacket

  • Light long hiking pants

  • Ear plugs (For those who don't like the white noise of snoring :P )
  • Trekking poles (recommended)

  • Toiletries (toilet paper, wet wipes, personal towel)
  • Sunscreen (SPF 50+ recommended)
  • Insect repellent
  • Water bottle

This trip includes moderate daily hiking, averaging 8–12 km (5–7.5 miles) per day with elevation gains between 400–800 meters. Expect 3–6 hours of movement on hiking days, with early starts and relaxed evenings. It’s active but very manageable if you’re comfortable hiking for several hours at a steady pace.
